Integrating patient data from third-party devices

Clinicians have more sources of information about their patients today than ever before. But these different sources can be a hindrance at the bedside if the data cannot be correlated, compared, documented, and responded to in the event of an alarm.Integration of patient data from third-party devices is made possible with Flexport interfaces. This capability brings all pertinent patient information to a single point of access – on any Spacelabs monitor, unifying information and easing documentation. Flexport interfaces also facilitate the use of automated patient charting systems by integrating data at the patient’s bedside.

Alarm surveillance is also integrated, so that alarms from other devices may be seen on a single screen, enhancing alarm response.

Flexport interfaces are available for a variety of devices, including ventilators, transcutaneous gas monitors, hemodynamic monitors and other equipment used in critical care areas of the hospital.
